Nora and James wanted their engagement photographs to feel like an ordinary evening together, only a little more golden. We met an hour before sunset on a quiet bluff above the Hudson, where the wildflowers had grown waist-high and the river caught every bit of light.
Starting slow
We began with a walk rather than a pose. A few easy prompts, a shared joke about who said “I love you” first, and within minutes they had forgotten about the camera entirely. That ease is what I look for: the moment a session stops feeling like a session.
