Our commitment
Kenzie Lake Photography aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines describe how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive.
02
What we’ve done
Accessibility has been part of how this site is designed and built, not an afterthought. Current measures include:
Descriptive alternative text for meaningful photographs
Semantic headings and landmarks that work well with screen readers
Full keyboard navigation for menus, slideshows, and forms
Slideshows that pause on hover or focus and respect reduced-motion settings
Clearly labeled form fields with visible focus states
Readable text sizes and layouts that adapt to any screen
03
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas may not yet be fully accessible. Photography is, by nature, a visual medium, and some embedded content from third parties, such as social media feeds, may not meet the same standards. We’re working on improvements and welcome your feedback.
04
Compatibility
This site is designed to work with the current versions of major browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with common assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS.
05
Feedback and assistance
If you run into a barrier, need content in a different format, or have a suggestion, we’d genuinely like to hear from you. Please reach out through our contact page and let us know:
The page where you encountered the issue
A short description of the problem
The browser and any assistive technology you were using
We aim to respond within two business days and will make every reasonable effort to help.
06
An ongoing practice
Accessibility isn’t a box we check once. We review the site as it grows and changes, and this statement will be updated to reflect that work.
